Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved, and the District has undertaken the facilities project known as the Liberty High School Project, which consists of the construction of a complete comprehensive high school. On March 20, 2019, the Board of Trustees approved the contract with Roadway Engineering & Contracting Inc. in the amount of $5,252,500 for all services related to offsite work, including the Scott and Leon Interchange, the construction of Wicker and Garbani Road, traffic signals, and all work around the perimeter of the Liberty High School campus. During the preparation for the paving of Wickerd Road, it was brought to our attention that the supplier of the Class 2 Base that serves as the foundation for the paving on Wickerd would not be available for an extended length of time due to supply issues. Staff directed Roadway to procure the class 2 base with a different supplier to meet the paving schedule. This change resulted in an increased price for the base material of $9,863.
This is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the need to mitigate schedule impacts related to completing the paving of Wickerd Road as part of the Liberty High School Project.
