Perris Union High School District - Rosetta Stone Renewal Quote (250 Licenses) 25-26.pdf
Summary: Rosetta Stone has been used as a successful supplemental program to accelerate the language acquisition of students at the limited to no functional receptive (listening and reading) and productive English skills (speaking and writing) level for newcomer students throughout the district. Rosetta Stone is used in addition to students' Designated and Integrated English Language Development throughout the instructional day. The District's English Learner Leadership team, composed of teachers, counselors, and administrators, has developed plans to support students and families by communicating with parents regarding the program's goals, monitoring student usage, and providing flexible learning spaces on campus before and after school. Rosetta Stone Foundations for K-12 (Silver) is a fixed-term license for online access to language lessons and solo activities and stories in one of all commercially available languages and all available levels for use on Windows and Mac computers and includes administrator tools and access to all product specific mobile applications for iOS or select Android devices. Licenses are for named users for a subscription period specified below, where all licenses start and end on the same date. Licenses may be transferred to other Authorized End Users during the subscription period. The term of this Agreement shall be for one (1) year, from July 19, 2025, through July 19, 2026. The total price for one year is $22,345.00 and will be invoiced and paid upon acceptance of the Agreement.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2025-26 operating budget funded through Title III and Title III Immigrant Funds, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with Rosetta Stone for supplemental services to improve language acquisition skills for newcomer English Learners.
