Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved and the District has undertaken the facilities project known as the “CMI Gymnasium and Circulation Project,” which consists of a new gymnasium and the reconfiguration of the circulation and parking at the front of the California Military Institute (CMI) adjacent to A street. During the demolition of the circulation drive lane, the existing marquee in front of CMI was removed to expand and reconfigure the area for the new student drop off lane. The removed marquee was at the end of its service life. The District has worked with Encore Image, Inc. to obtain a proposal for a new marquee to replace the old malfunctioning marquee. Encore Image will design the new sign and submit to the Division of State Architect’s Office, as well as provide and install the marquee. The total cost of these services is $58,993.80.

The cost for this item is included in the 2020-21 operating budget funded through Various Facilities Funds, not the General Fund.
