Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District would like to enter into a five (5) year subscription to the Drama Online Collections. The Drama Online series is a digital library of over 2,750 playtexts, 400 audio plays and 345 hours of video from leading theater publishers and companies offering a complete multimedia experience of theater. Staff can filter results by content type, genre, period, author, setting and more, and select plays to perform via cast size and gender of roles. Using the character grid they can see how the characters interact and they can develop a “Part Book” to view the lines for single characters - ideal for use at rehearsals and for character analysis. Videos come with an interactive, searchable transcript player and closed captioning.
The Drama Online Collections include Core and Critical studies, LA Theater works, Nick Hern books, Shakespeare/Early Modern drama videos, Aurora Metro books & the Playwrights Canada Press, BBC drama films and documentaries, Royal Shakespeare Company Live, Classic Spring Oscar Wilde and National Theatre.
The subscription is for a total of 9,447 students enrolled at Perris High School, Heritage High School, Paloma Valley High School, and Liberty High School. The Subscription shall be for five (5) years from March 18, 2021 through June 15, 2026. The total cost for the 5-year subscription is $145,566 and includes a twenty five percent (25%) discount.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through the Federal CARES Act Learning Loss Mitigation Fund, not the General Fund.
