Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District would like to enter into an Agreement to participate in the Friday Night Live (FNL) Prevention Club Program with the County of Riverside Department of Mental Health. The FNL Prevention Club Program was developed in 1984 and is dedicated to reducing the number of deaths and injuries caused by teen motorists driving under the influence of alcohol and other drugs. The Agreement provides one (1) adult advisor per school site to oversee the FNL Program.
The program will reimburse costs for the advisors in an amount not to exceed $750.00 per club with a total reimbursement not to exceed $3,750.00 for services rendered. The remaining cost is estimated to be $2,353.88 per club. Participating schools include Pinacate Middle School, Perris High School, Paloma Valley High School, Heritage High School, and California Military Institute, for a total of $11,769.40 to be paid by the District. The cost for California Military Institute will be billed as a direct cost to CMI per the Memorandum of Understanding between the District and CMI.
The term of the Agreement shall be for one (1) year from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.
This Agreement is being taken to the Board as ratification due to the untimely receipt of the contract from the County of Riverside Department of Mental Health.

The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Title I and Charter School Funds, not the General Fund.
