Summary: The Perris Union High School District (PUHSD) would like to enter into a multi-year Agreement with SchooLinks. SchooLinks is a single platform for college and career readiness of which PUHSD will be accessing SchooLinks Career Essentials, State College and Career Readiness (CCR) Suite, as well as virtual and on-site training. The Career Essentials portion of SchooLinks includes program management, career exploration, resume building, internship and opportunity management, and employer and sponsor management. PUHSD will be able to manage a database of industry contacts and keep track of opportunities, events, and data to satisfy state requirements, grants, and the entire Work Based Learning (WBL) program and monitor the efficiency of industry partners and know what programs are best serving our students. Work-based learning (WBL) describes a broad set of learning experiences that place students in real-world work settings. It provides opportunities for students to explore potential career interests, fields, or professional settings and help students determine whether they want to engage further in future training or career choices. In addition, the On-Demand mentorship will allow our students to connect with real-world professionals and understand careers. The Industry Partner Portal will offer a single place for our industry partners to engage with PUHSD. With SchooLinks, PUHSD can create an inviting experience for local and national industry partners to work with our district. SchooLinks enables PUHSD to bring a wealth of real-world opportunities to our students. SchooLinks takes WBL to a new level. It helps districts promote opportunities with students, but also develops long-term and trusting relationships with our local and regional businesses to establish avenues for collaboration. Through this collaboration, PUHSD can create scalable workflows to support the needs of our students and community. The term of this Agreement shall be for about three (3) years from May 18, 2023, through June 30, 2026, at a cost not to exceed $136,760.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26 operating budgets funded through the Career Technical Education Incentive Grant, not the General Fund.
