Summary: The Perris Union High School District has partnered with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools (RCSS) for the Center for Teacher Innovation (CTI) program, formerly referred to as Beginning Teacher Support Assessment (BTSA), for many years. The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to approve the formal working relationship set forth in the operating conditions that govern the partnership. The District will pay the annual enrollment/participation fee of $2,300 plus any applicable CTI-provided reflective coach fees per candidate ($2,500 for face-to-face or online) enrolled during the term of the Agreement. The term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024. The Agreement is being brought before the Board as a ratification due to the untimely receipt of the Agreement from the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools (RCSS) for the Center for Teacher Innovation (CTI) program.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify the Memorandum of Understanding and Agreement IN90119 with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools for participation in the Center for Teacher Innovation Induction Program.
