Summary:
|
Perris High School Band Instructor Donald Cerchia respectfully requests the Board of Trustees' approval for an Overnight Field Trip request for thirty-four (34) band students and four (4) adult chaperones to attend a band concert tour at the Sacramento Capitol Building in Sacramento, California and Ghirardelli Square San Francisco in Lake San Francisco, California, May 16-19, 2024.
Students can perform two (2) free public concerts of the music they are currently working on. Students will gain performance experience on this trip and learn responsibility, leadership, and maturity. The students will perform at two (2) different venues, Sacramento Capitol Building and Ghirardelli Square San Francisco..
The total cost of this concert tour, including lodging and transportation, will not exceed $30,000. Transportation will be provided by charter bus.

The cost for this item is included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through the Perris High School Arts, Music, and Instructional Materials Block Grant, not the General Fund.
