Summary: The Perris Union High School District has five schools (Heritage High School, Liberty High School, Paloma Valley High School, Perris High School, and Pinacate Middle School) certified through RIMS Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) and the AVID Center in San Diego. This contract covers the licensing fee in addition to the support each site receives from personnel at RIMS AVID and AVID Center. Support includes coaching for AVID site coordinators, site teams, site administration, and district administration, as well as assistance with data management of the AVID program, site visits, writing of the site plan, the annual certification self-study and implementation of the plans. Liberty High School will be purchasing the AVID Secondary Library Package and the AVID Summer Institute or DigitalXP Registration Fee.

The total cost of services will be $27,920. The term of this Agreement shall be July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through the Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with AVID Center for Advancement Via Individual Determination College Readiness System Services and Products.
