Summary: On February 10, 2021, the District entered into a Master Agreement IN-70031 with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools for the Career Technical Education (CTE) Program, offering career preparation training to high school students. The CTE currently provides training in multiple career areas based upon current and future labor market demands. CTE training is given in classrooms equipped to industry standards. Classes are a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training taught by CTE instructors in the industry who are credentialed by the State of California to teach in their areas of expertise.

These two (2) Agreements allowed for Paloma Valley High School’s (PVHS) Automotive Instructor to teach a 7th period, not to exceed 180 hours, and Liberty High School’s (LHS) Allied Health Instructor to teach a 7th period, not to exceed 180 hours. The cost for Agreement IN-70381 for Extra Duty Services at PVHS is $11,487.92, and Agreement IN-70383 for Extra Duty Services at LHS is $14,427.26, for a total amount not to exceed $25,915.18.

These Agreements are from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.

These Agreements are being brought before the Board as ratifications due to the untimely receipt of the contracts from the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through the Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify Agreements IN-70381 and IN-70383 with Riverside County Superintendent of Schools for Career Technical Education Extra Duty Services.
