Summary:
|
Staff recommends revising the current job description for the Director of Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation, which includes responsibilities for the oversight and administration of transportation services that are provided through Hemet Unified School District. As these responsibilities are no longer applicable, the title and scope of the position will be updated to Director of Maintenance and Operations.
The revised position will provide administrative direction and leadership in the planning, organization, and supervision of the District’s maintenance and operations functions, with primary responsibilities covering routine and deferred maintenance, HVAC, locksmithing, grounds, and custodial services. All references to transportation services have been removed.
In addition, updates have been made to the job functions to more accurately reflect the current duties and responsibilities of the position. This updated job description also allows for the District to revert to the structure utilized prior to April 2020, with separate directors for the Maintenance and Operations and Facilities Departments.
