Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District entered into a Staffing Service Agreement with The Stepping Stones Group, LLC (“Stepping Stones”) for the 2023-24 school year. The services include LVN nursing services, occupational therapy services, school psychologist services, speech and language services, attendance at Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings and other IEP services as required. The District will leverage the services provided by Stepping Stones to provide substitute coverage as needed for district Psychologists, LVNs, Speech Therapists, to meet the needs of our students.
These services would be provided to District students for triennial assessments, additional assessments and/or initial assessments according to their IEP. This Agreement will also cover any compensatory services required by students.
The term of this Agreement shall be from December 4, 2023, through March 26, 2024. The estimated annual cost, based on services known to date, is $54,000.
This Agreement is being brought before the Board as a ratification due to the unexpected immediate need for services.

The cost for this item is included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through Special Education, not the General Fund.
