Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved, and the District undertook the facilities project known as the Liberty High School Project, which consisted of constructing a new high school facility. On March 20, 2019, the Board of Trustees approved the contract with Rivco Coatings (“Rivco”) in the amount of $841,831, for all services related to painting on the Liberty High School Campus. During the completion of Rivco’s scope of work, changes to the project scope, revisions to project documents as well as costs associated with project delays and project acceleration related to the opening of Liberty High School, resulted in different change events that were approved during construction to meet project timelines and schedules. These included Building A revisions, additional roof identification letters, overtime costs, paint touch up, roof traffic coatings, painting of the gas meter, requested trade damage repair, and related added painting scope of work needed to open the campus. These costs have been combined and have resulted in Change Order #15-008 in the amount of $89,671.29
This Change Order is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the need to mitigate schedule impacts related to completing the work at the Liberty High School campus.
