Summary: The Perris Union High School District teachers had an option to attend Mt. San Jacinto College’s (MSJC) CATEMA Training Days from April 22, 2021, through May 31, 2021.  

The Career and Technology Education Management Application (CATEMA®) has been adopted by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office as a best practice for managing articulation credit information relating to courses, classes, school districts, high schools, teachers, counselors, college registrars, college advisors, and students. The web application is designed to provide a simple method to enter, update, display and report course articulation outcomes and Career Education–related information. In addition, the web-based interface allows students, teachers, counselors, and school administrators to establish and maintain their own user accounts.

MSJC is providing reimbursement of sub costs up to $125 per substitute for staff members attending the training, not to exceed $500.

This contract is being brought forward as ratification due to the untimely receipt of the Agreement from Mt. San Jacinto Community College District.
Funding: The budget will be adjusted to reflect this revenue.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify the Agreement with Mt. San Jacinto Community College District for reimbursement of substitute costs for District staff that attended the Career and Technology Education Management Application training.
