Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District currently provides services to approximately 1,900 students who have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The District contracts annually with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools through the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) for services to assess, train, and provide direct supervision as well as curriculum and materials for students requiring Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) services and Assistive Technology (AT) services. Additionally, 504 Accommodation Plan services are provided for students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) and Visually Impaired (VI) Itinerant. The Riverside County Superintendent of Schools has extensive services for students with these disabilities and continues to do an excellent job of servicing our students.
The term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024. The estimated cost for these services, based on projected enrollment and 2022-23 costs, is $25,000.
This is being brought to the Board as ratification due to the untimely receipt of the Agreement from the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools.

The cost for this item is included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through Special Education Funds, not the General Fund.
