Summary:
|
Pursuant to Education Code Sections 42601 and 42602, at the close of a fiscal year, the District may identify and submit appropriation transfers to the County Superintendent of Schools as necessary to ensure payment of the District’s obligations for that school year. Resolution No. 36:22-23 for Year End Budget Adjustments allows budget transfers and expenditure adjustments to occur as part of the 2022-23 fiscal year-end closing process. This is required for budget balancing purposes and for appropriate expenditure classification to be reflected in the final financial ledgers for 2022-23. Adjustments made will be included in the 2022-23 Unaudited Actuals Report, which will be presented to the Board for approval at the September 20, 2023, Regular Board Meeting.
