Summary:
|
On August 18, 2021, the Board of Trustees approved a contract for $81,500 with IVL Contractors, Inc. (IVL). IVL was hired to move seven (7) portables at the California Military Institute as part of the Gym and Parking/Circulation Project. During IVL’s completion of their scope of work, it became necessary to cancel IVL’s scheduled date to move the portables due to unforeseen site conditions. This resulted in IVL having to reschedule and remobilize their crews to complete their scope of work. Additionally, IVL was required to work overtime to complete the portable move before students returned to CMI on August 4. This remobilization and overtime resulted in Change Order No. 001 in the amount of $16,106.60.
This is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the need to mitigate schedule impacts related to completing the movement of seven (7) portables during CMI’s Gym and Parking/Circulation Project.

The cost for this item was included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Various Facilities Funds, not the General Fund.
