Summary:
|
Heritage High School’s Agriculture teacher, Stephen Daly, requests the Board of Trustees' approval for an overnight field trip request for eight (8) Heritage High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) students and one (1) chaperone to attend the Fresno State Field Day and Public Speaking finals in Fresno, California, April 21-22, 2023.
The HHS FFA student contests are career development contests and will compete in areas of the agriculture industry while preparing for a future in agriculture. This field day is one of the biggest in the state, where some of the best teams will see real competition to prepare for the state finals. For some contests, this is the state finals, and winners of those events will be able to represent California at the National level. This is also where the state public speaking finals will take place.

The cost for this item is included in the 2022-23 operating budget funded through Heritage High School’ Associated Student Body Fund, not the General Fund.
