Summary:

Education law never ceases to change and grow, which necessitates that school districts update policies and regulations and add/delete/change policies and regulations to meet the law's mandates. The reason for their inclusion in the district policy manual is summarized in the attached justification document.

Recommendation:

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees receive for its review and consideration, as part of the first reading, the following board policies and administrative regulations: BP 5131 - Conduct; BP 5145.7 - Sexual Harassment; AR 5145.7 - Sexual Harassment; and AR 5145.71 - Title IX Sexual Harassment Complaint Procedures.
