Summary: The Board may, at its sole discretion, increase the salary for the Superintendent and the other members of Cabinet (i.e., Deputy Superintendent of Business Services, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, and Executive Director of Technology) as it determines. Such salary adjustments shall be reflected in writing. If the Board increases the salaries of other management employees, the Board will consider increasing the salary of the Superintendent and the other members of the Cabinet.

Equivalent to the salary increases provided to all other management employees, the District recommends amending the employment agreements for the Superintendent and the other members of Cabinet to increase the salary schedules by six and forty-four one-hundredths percent (6.44%) effective January 1, 2023.

Equivalent to the one-time, off-schedule payment provided to all other management employees, it is further recommended that the Superintendent and the other members of Cabinet also receive a one-time, off-schedule payment of $4,000. This off-schedule payment shall be paid in November 2022 (5M pay warrant).
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2022-23 budget.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the salary increase for the Superintendent's Cabinet.
