Summary: On February 10, 2021, the District entered into a Master Agreement IN70031 with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools for the Career Technical Education (CTE) Program, offering career preparation training to high school students. The CTE provides training in multiple career areas based on current and future labor market demands. CTE training is given in classrooms equipped with industry standards. Classes are a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training taught by CTE instructors in the industry who are credentialed by the State of California to teach in their areas of expertise. This Agreement allows for Liberty High School’s (LHS) Marketing, Sales, & Services Entrepreneurship Instructor to work club-related projects outside the contracted day, not exceeding 121 hours. The cost for Agreement IN90409 for Extra Duty Services at LHS is $10,911.07; this includes the administrative fee of 23.577%. The term of this Agreement is from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024. This Agreement is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the untimely receipt of the contract from the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through the Career Technical Education Incentive Grant, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify Agreement IN90409 with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools for Career Technical Education extra duty services.
