Summary: The California Military Institute (Charter) and California Military Teachers Association (CMITA) agree to reopen negotiations on compensation and benefits for 2022-23 if the Department of Finance statutory COLA with any augmentation or deficit as included in the final enacted State Budget is greater than six and one-half percent (6.5%). Pursuant to Government Code ยง3547, the Charter submits its initial proposal to the Association since the statutory COLA included in the final enacted State Budget is eight and twenty-two-hundredths percent (8.22%). The Charter wishes to address Article I: Compensation through negotiations.
Funding: No fiscal impact.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees hold a Public Hearing to receive comments regarding the Notice of Initial Proposals to Negotiate Article I: Compensation. Time In: ____________ Time Out: ____________ It is also recommended that the Board of Trustees accept the Notice of Initial Proposals between the California Military Institute and the California Military Teachers Association regarding compensation.
