On July 11, 2023, the ​Perris Union High School District entered into an Agreement with Eide Bailly, LLP, to provide consulting and advisory services with the GASB 96 implementation and accounting for a cost not to exceed $10,000. The new GASB 96 Subscription-Based Information Technology (SBITAs) implementation establishes uniform accounting and financial reporting requirements to improve the comparability of government financial statements. It enhances the understandability, reliability, relevance, and consistency of information about SBITAs. The consulting engagement is to assist the District with reviewing and assessing all our information technology software and subscription contracts to determine applicability and compliance with GASB 96 implementation.
Fees are based on the amount of time required to complete the assignment. The change in the amount is due to the actual costs of services being higher than the initial estimate of $10,000, at which time a Purchase Order (CBUS0111) was drawn on July 24, 2023. The Contract is for an amount not to exceed $49,999; current costs are $19,116.75.
This item is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the need to comply with GASB 96 for the 2022-23 audited actuals.
