Summary:
|
The sewer line in the staff parking lot at the rear of Paloma Valley High School has settled. This has led to low spots which have been the source of many stoppages and clogs that have impacted operations at Paloma. The Maintenance & Operations department conducted a video inspection of this line that shows the poor condition of the pipe. The work required to correct this issue is the demolition of the existing line, the replacement of 200’ of 4” sewer line, reconnection into the sewer system including reconnecting the kitchen sewer line, and installation of clean outs at every 100’ per code. The District has obtained three proposals as required by the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA). Upon approval of the Agreement, this project is scheduled to begin March 18, 2021 and be completed by June 30, 2021, at a cost not to exceed $40,500.

The cost for this item is included in the 2020-21 operating budget funded through the Maintenance Fund, not the General Fund.
