Summary:
|
LTC John David Kirkland, Perris High School (PHS) JROTC Instructor, is requesting the Board of Trustees approve the request for the Perris High School JROTC to hold an overnight trip to Lake Perris Recreation State Park to conduct an Army JROTC Leadership Training camp during the weekend of October 15-16, 2022. This is an overnight field trip of one night with thirty-five (35) students and four (4) adults as chaperones.
The activities support the Perris High School JROTC curriculum. The cadets will conduct land navigation, first aid, and road marches. Leadership training will play a significant part in the training. The students will be transported to the Lake Perris Recreation Park by their parents. The JROTC Associated Student Body fund will pay the camp and meal costs.

The cost for this item is included in the 2022-23 operating budget funded through the Perris High School JROTC Associated Student Body Fund, not the General Fund.
