Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District would like to partner with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) in a Multi-Year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Agreement for the RIMS AVID Partnership. This MOU covers district and site visits, leadership team meetings, tutorial observations, AVID curriculum lessons, principal/District Liaison meetings, and/or WICOR Walkthrough Observations, access to all professional learning opportunities, all AVID student events (Sr. Recognition Ceremony, Write-off, Standout Ceremonies, etc.), participation in Senior Student Scholarships, all services or special events offered to Inyo, Mono, and San Bernardino County AVID sites, unlimited technical coaching (in-person, email, phone, etc.), and more.
The term of this MOU shall be for three (3) years, beginning July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027, at a cost of $9,300 per year, for a total cost of $27,900. However, this MOU must be signed and returned to SBCSS by December 8, 2023, confirming the District’s commitment and, therefore, brought forth before the Board as ratification.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27 operating budget funded through Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the General Fund.

Recommendation:

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify the Multi-Year Memorandum of Understanding with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools for the RIMS AVID Partnership.
