Summary: The District entered into an Agreement with ConnectEd in September 2020 to support the planning and design of the Linked Learning approach for Liberty High School and do an orientation for district leaders and staff at Perris High School. This new Agreement will provide follow-up support for Liberty High School (LHS), the initial steps needed for Perris High School (PHS), and continued work with the district leadership team to ensure the supports are in place to support LHS and PHS in planning and implementing the Linked Learning approach.

The vision for Perris High School is to establish a Linked Learning Pathway Design Institute to begin discussions on the development and implementation of project-based learning. This would include identifying student outcomes, identifying industry partners, evaluating Programs of Study, a work-based learning continuum, dual credits, and student support.

The vision for Liberty High School is to add to the scope of work completed in 2020-21 that includes an end of summer check-in with each Pathway Team, two school visits, learning walks with the Administrative team, review of project implementation, and professional development sessions to support site team needs.

ConnectED will provide regular consultation calls and support site visits with district leadership teams for planning, implementation, and follow-up on pathways. Develop action plans and plan workflow, agendas, master schedule support, and provide feedback on all aspects of the pathway design for LHS and PHS.

The term of this Agreement shall be from September 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Various COVID Funds, not the General Fund.
