Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved, and the District has undertaken the facilities project known as the Liberty High School Aquatic Complex Project, which consists of the construction of a new 33-meter pool and associated aquatic complex. On January 20, 2021, the Board of Trustees approved the contract with Verne’s Plumbing Inc. in the amount of $463,800 for all related plumbing scope of work required in the construction of the Liberty Aquatic Facility. During construction, it was discovered that additional work was needed to connect the domestic and fire water lines to the existing campus lines. Staff worked with Verne’s Plumbing, Inc. to identify the connection points and authorized this work to proceed in order to continue with minimal schedule impacts to the project. The additional work necessary for Verne’s Plumbing, Inc. to complete the domestic and fire water connections is included in Change Order #18-003 in the amount of $21,771.
This is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the need to mitigate schedule impacts related to completing the installation of the domestic and fire water line connections that were necessary as part of the Liberty High School Aquatic Complex Project.

The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Various Facilities Funds, not the General Fund.
