Perris High School's JROTC Instructor, LTC John Kirkland, requests approval from the Board of Trustees for thirty-five (35) Perris High School JROTC cadets to participate in the Annual JROTC Cadet Advance Leadership Challenge Camp in Fort Irwin, California, on March 11-14, 2022. This encampment aims to give JROTC students the opportunity to master outdoor skills and learn leadership in small group settings, curriculum-related training in small group settings, and curriculum-related training that would qualify cadets for ribbons and awards. Thirty-five (35) cadets and two (2) chaperones from PHS will be participating in this annual leadership camp. The United States Army Cadet Command will provide lodging, transportation, and meals at no cost to the students. Accommodation will be in military-style barracks, and transportation will be via contracted civilian buses.
