Summary: Perris High School Teacher John Kirkland requests the Board of Trustees approval for an overnight field trip request for twenty (20) Perris High School students and three (3) chaperones to attend the Lake Perris Triathlon in Perris, California, April 20-21, 2024. Perris High’s JROTC students will be completing a safe and challenging Army & Navy Raiders Championship Event at Perris Lake. Raiders Challenges promotes self-confidence, teamwork, and esprit de corps among JROTC cadets. The event also serves as a recruitment and retention vehicle for the JROTC program.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2023-24 Perris High School Title 1 Funds, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the overnight field trip request for Perris High School students to attend the Lake Perris Triathlon, April 20-21, 2024, in Perris, California.
