Summary:
|
In order to manage and secure the laptops and other devices, the District recommends the purchase of Microsoft CAMSA (CITE And Microsoft Strategic Alliance) through Softchoice. CAMSA provides licensing for the District’s use of Microsoft software, including Microsoft Office, Windows 10, Windows Server, and other infrastructure components. CAMSA will allow staff and students to continue to use the Windows operating system in lab environments and the licensing required for the servers the district runs to host software used by staff and students.
The District has negotiated with Softchoice for a one (1) year term pricing from August 1, 2021, through July 31, 2022. The cost per year for CAMSA is $42,094.12.
This Agreement is being brought forth to the Board as ratification due to the untimely receipt of the contract from Softchoice.
