PSEA MOU Split Band and Choir Split Assignment for PHS.PMS 5.23.2022.pdf
Summary: On May 23, 2022, the District entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Perris Secondary Educators Association (PSEA) to allow for two split positions between Perris High School and Pinacate Middle School. One position will teach band at both sites, and the second will teach choir. This split would help promote student participation in the High School Band program and provide an effective choir program for students by offering band and choir as an elective at the middle school. Due to travel between the two sites and differing bell schedules, each position will be teaching an extended eight-hour day rather than the typical seven-hour and twenty-five-minute work day.

The details of this Memorandum of Understanding are in the attached document.
Funding: No fiscal impact.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Perris Union High School District and the Perris Secondary Educators Association regarding a split band and choir assignment for Perris High School and Pinacate Middle School.
