Summary:
|
Brianne Carson, teacher and cheer coach at Liberty High School, is respectfully submitting a request to the Board of Education for approval of the Liberty High School's Cheer Team to attend the World Class Cheer Camp at UCSB in Santa Barbara, California, July 28-30, 2023.
World Class Cheer offers a comprehensive summer camp curriculum that prepares athletes for their season from the sidelines to the competition floor and everything in between. At the World Class Cheer Camp, athletes will connect their role on campus, in the community, and when they take the floor for competition.
Approximately forty (40) students and three (3) District-cleared chaperones will be transported to UCSB by bus. All students will have completed physical/medical clearances and signed parent permission forms. The final list of students will be submitted to the Liberty High School Athletic Director, Scott Moore, before departure. The total cost for the students to attend the camp will not exceed $21,500.00.

The cost for this item is included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through Liberty High School's Associated Student Body Fund, not the General Fund.
