Summary:
|
Perris High School Agriculture Advisor, Chelsye DeBoor, is requesting approval via ratification for Perris High School's (PHS) Future Farmers of American (FFA) students to attend the 2023 FFA Made for Excellence Conference/Advanced Leadership Academy (MFE/ALA) Conference at the DoubleTree Hotel in Ontario, California on February 3-4, 2023.
The Made for Excellence conference will focus on developing student's leadership skills, exploring the role of choices and responsibility in character development, investigating personal strengths and interests, and identifying specific opportunities for involvement in FFA and continued leadership growth. The Advanced Leadership Academy will bring focus to the agriculture industry. Each student will be exposed to industry leaders and organizations and understand their vital role in promoting agriculture, create an understanding of issues that affect the agriculture industry, and develop/present an oral argument on one of the identified issues.
Twenty-Four (24) FFA students and three (3) chaperones will attend the FFA MFE/ALA. Student transportation will be provided by District vehicles.
This item is being brought forward as ratification due to a clerical error.
