The Perris Union High School District would like to utilize the services that Square Capital, LLC (Square) offers. With the increase of electronic and digital payment solutions, school sites and ASB clubs have found it challenging to conduct fundraising sales or collect donations using the payment methods available to them - cash, check, or a credit card machine.
The services offered by Square will afford the District and its school sites the capability of conducting sales using a mobile/portable device that can be used anywhere on campus with or without wifi. This further eliminates the handling of cash, and it increases sales due to added payment options. Having the ability to do this will allow for the following benefits:
Convenience - students, parents, and guardians would no longer need to worry about carrying cash or writing a check when attending a school event.
Increased Revenue offers another student payment option and opens a new avenue to accept funds.
Efficiency - allow payments to be made using a more automated process.
Security - processed through secure payment gateways and ensures that the school and families’ financial information is protected.
Analytics - offers a variety of analytical reports that would help ASB Clubs keep track of sales for events and items.
The District will create a primary account and add “locations” (school sites) per school site interest. The main account is free of charge to use and manage. Any additional locations will be added at a cost of $35/month per administrative user of that location. If a site’s ASB club chooses to establish a Square account under the District, the monthly payment will be billed to the corresponding ASB account. The services can be canceled at any time.
