Summary:
|
The Murrieta Valley Unified School District conducted a Request for Proposal (RFP) cooperatively with other districts, including the Perris Union High School District, for the purchase of frozen, refrigerated, dry, and processed commodity and or commercial products for the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and the Seamless Summer Option for the 2024-25 school year. The bid closed on April 2, 2024, and was awarded to Gold Star Foods, the sole responsive and responsible bidder, at the Murrieta Valley Unified School District Board meeting on May 9, 2024.
The term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, at an estimated cost of $3,125,000 based on the estimated quantities for the prices listed on the bid. This Agreement may be renewed for up to two (2) additional one (1) year terms upon mutual written Agreement for a maximum of three (3) years, in accordance with Education Code Section 81644.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2024-25 operating budget funded through Nutrition Services, not the General Fund.
