Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved, and the District has undertaken the facilities project known as the Liberty High School Project, which consists of constructing a new high school facility. On March 20, 2019, the Board of Trustees approved the contract with Rivco Coatings (“Rivco”) in the amount of $841,831 for all services related to painting on the Liberty High School Campus. During the completion of Rivco’s scope of work, a change to the design of the large shade structure located between the administration building and the student union became necessary due to a change in the design of the large shade louvers at the top of the structure. These were originally a different design and had a pre-finished aluminum finish. With the design change, it was decided to paint these louvers instead of using the pre-finished aluminum finish. Rivco Coating painted the new louver design and provided additional taping and masking of adjacent areas at a cost of $34,831.91, resulting in Change Order #15-007.
This is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the need to mitigate schedule impacts related to completing the work to the Liberty High School campus. |
