Summary:

|
The Perris Union High School District ("School District") and the Eastern Municipal Water District ("Water District") seek to amend the Agreement entered into between the School District and the Water District on July 1, 2019 ("Subject Agreement"). That Agreement recognized the School District's contribution of $1,593,758 to fund certain sewer utility improvements involving the construction of a 15" replacement gravity sewer main ("Sewer Replacement Project") to service the La Ventana Ranch development and the adjacent new high school (Liberty High School).
Due to unforeseen environmental constraints, the Water District is unable to construct the Sewer Replacement Project in the form and design originally contemplated by the parties and proposes to design and construct an alternate project that will meet the sewerage needs and objectives of the new high school and the adjacent development ("Alternative Sewer Project").
The Alternative Sewer Project will be designed and constructed by the Eastern Municipal Water District at no additional cost to the School District, and the design will be shared with the District and incorporated into the First Amendment once developed by the Water District. |
