Perris High School Agriculture Advisor Charlynn McNaul requests Board approval for Perris High School’s Future Farmers of America students to attend the 2024 Chico State Field Day in Chico, CA, on February 9-11, 2024. This event is a (3) day, (2) night’s trip.
Chico State Day is a Career Development Event: This competitive team event prepares students with skills that can be used in the workforce. Our teams spend countless hours practicing and studying to prepare for these events. Each event has a public speaking component, which helps students become confident in their public speaking skills. These teams allow students to acquire skills that can be used in life after high school.
Approximately ten (10) students and one (1) adult chaperone will attend the 2024 Chico State Field Day. The cost per person is $150, with the approximate total cost not to exceed $1,650. Student hotels will be paid through ASB student funds, and the hotels for one (1) chaperone will be funded through the Carl D. Perkins Grant. Chaperone hotel rooms are approximately $250 per room, with the approximate total not to exceed $400. Transportation to Sacramento will be provided by District vehicles. |
