Heritage High School’s Agriculture teacher, Jeremiah Perotti, requests the Board of Trustees approval for an overnight field trip request for eighteen (18) Heritage High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) students and two (2) chaperones to attend the California Future Farmers of America Public Speaking Public State Finals in Fresno, California, April 19-20, 2024.
The HHS FFA student contests are career development contests. Students compete in areas of the agriculture industry while preparing for a future in agriculture. This field day is one of the biggest in the state, where some of the best teams will see real competition to prepare for the state finals. For some contests, this is the state finals, and winners of those events will be able to represent California at the National level. This is also where the state public speaking finals will take place. |

The cost for this item is included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through Heritage High School Future Farmers of America Associated Student Body Funds and the Perkins V Grant, not the General Fund. |
