Liberty High School’s (LHS) Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Coordinator, Emma Bennett, is planning the annual Northern California college trip for LHS AVID Seniors. The dates of the trip are November 3-7, 2025. Approximately forty-eight (48) students and four (4) adult chaperones will be visiting fifteen (15) college campuses over the five (5) day, four (4) night trip. The list of colleges/universities is as follows: Fresno State University, UC Merced, State University Stanislaus, Sacramento State University, UC Davis, Chico State University, Sonoma State University, San Francisco State University, UC Berkeley, San Jose State University, Stanford University, UC Santa Cruz, Cal State Monterey Bay, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and UC Santa Barbara.
The trip's purpose is to introduce students to different campuses. Some schools in Northern California offer diverse educational opportunities. Liberty High School AVID students are more willing to leave home after visiting the campus. Our District significantly represents former AVID students on many North Place campuses. This trip is essential to building the college and career culture at LHS. |
