The Perris Union High School District entered into an Agreement with the Riverside Superintendent of Schools to provide Math Alignment Support services. The Riverside County Office of Education Department of Assessment, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement will train Math teams on what is assessed on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) yearly and how to use the assessment results to guide instruction. Training may include, but is not limited to:
- Understanding Claims
- Understanding Assessment Targets
- Accessibility Resources
- Scoring: Scale Scores and Achievement Level Descriptors
- Score Reports
- Using Scores to Guide Instruction
Math teams will also be trained on the math framework and work to align math standards with curriculum content and CAASPP. This work provides the foundational knowledge necessary to identify essential standards, develop scope and sequence, and create common formative assessments that provide specific, targeted data that will be used to drive instructional decision-making.
The term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.
This item is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the untimely receipt of the Agreement from the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools. |
