Summary:
|
Full-time School Resource Officers (SROs) have been in place at all four (4) comprehensive high schools since July 1, 2022 and at Pinacate Middle School since January 2024. This Agreement covers SROs for Perris High School, Liberty High School and Pinacate Middle School, within the jurisdiction of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The District receives reimbursement from the City of Perris for the SROs at Perris High School and Pinacate Middle School through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU for the 2024-25 school year will be brought before the Board for approval as soon as it is available. The term of this Agreement is for one (1) year, expiring June 30, 2025. Successive Agreements will be brought forward on an annual basis. The cost of the services provided under this Agreement is $478,000. The City of Perris will be responsible for $159,333 bringing the District obligation to $318,667. |
