Education Code 60119 requires that on/or before the eighth week after the first-day pupils attend a school that year, the Governing Board hold a Public Hearing and adopt a resolution to be eligible to receive funds for the Pupil Textbook and Instructional Materials Compliance for the Fiscal Year 2022-23. After the Public Hearing is opened, the Board will receive public comment and close the Public Hearing before taking final action on this item. Attached is Resolution No. 01:22-23 – Pupil Textbook and Instructional Materials Compliance for the Fiscal Year 2022-23, which declares that the California Military Institute Board of Trustees has complied with the requirements of Education Code Section 60119 in that sufficient textbook and instructional materials were provided to each student, including English learners, that are aligned to the academic content standards and consistent with the cycles and content of the curriculum frameworks in the following subjects: mathematics, science, history-social science, and English/language arts. Additionally, sufficient textbooks and instructional materials were provided to each student enrolled in a foreign language or health class; laboratory science equipment was available for science laboratory classes in grades 9-12.
