Summary:
On December 13, 2023, the Perris Union High School District Board of Trustees approved the Liberty High School (LHS) Portables Addition Project. This project includes the installation of 14 portables to the Liberty High School Campus. The first six (6) of these portables have been installed at LHS as part of Phase 1 of this project. Phase 2 of this project includes installing eight (8) portables. The District requested a proposal from Ironwood Consulting and Inspection, Inc. (Ironwood) for DSA Inspection Services for the Liberty High School Portables Additions Project - Phase 2. The Inspector of Record (IOR) verifies that the construction of a project matches the plans and specifications as approved by the DSA. The duties of the IOR are defined in Title 24, Part 1, Section 4-342. In addition, the IOR works with the District to mitigate the effects of construction on the activities and operations of a school site and to note that the contractor(s) use(s) care to provide a safe site. The DSA IOR services are provided through project completion and will be billed at an hourly rate of $98.00, with an estimated cost of $17,640. The Liberty High School Portables Addition Project—Phase 2 is scheduled to begin in October 2024 and continue until the project's completion in February 2025.  
Funding:
The cost for this item is included in the 2024-25 operating budget funded through Various Facilities Funds, not the General Fund.  
Recommendation
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with Ironwood Consulting and Inspection, Incorporated for Division of State Architect Inspector of Record services for the Liberty High School Portables Addition Project - Phase 2.
