On June 21, 2023, the District Self-Certified the increase of the federal micro-purchase threshold from $10,000 to $50,000, pursuant to Resolution No. 34:22-23 for applicable transactions funded by federal funds. Pursuant to 2 C.F.R. section 200.320, local public school districts may annually self-certify a micro-purchase threshold of up to $50,000 if a higher threshold would be consistent with state law. Currently, the state of California requires competitive bidding for contracts and purchases over $114,500, which justifies the District in self-certifying a micro-purchase of up to $50,000. The District wishes to maintain the increase of the federal micro-purchase threshold of $50,000 for applicable transactions funded by federal funds. |
